House Washing in London, Ontario

House Washing

Bear Property Cleaning provides house washing services that utilize our soft washing equipment for a safer, cleaner, longer lasting result.

House Washing

At Bear Property Cleaning, we love cleaning homes of all shapes and sizes. Whether you have vinyl siding, aluminum siding, stucco, brick, concrete, wood, hardie board, or anything else - we can get the job done. To clean your home, we use zero pressure. Why? Because using pressure to remove debris can be dangerous (imagine someone propped up 2 storeys up with a ladder and getting pushed off with the force of a pressure washing gun), it can damage your home (put a hole in siding, remove stucco, chip brick and concrete, splinter wood, etc.), and it often voids your insurance policy. The only thing you should use a power washer on is a driveway. Besides, it doesn't do as thorough of a job as soft washing.

Soft Washing

What is soft washing? Soft washing is the #1 way to clean your home. Using low pressure, and a mix of bio-degradable chemicals, we are able to completely remove all debris from the side of your home. Don't believe us? Check out our gallery below! Soft washing completely removes all organic growth without damaging anything around your home. The pressure coming from our soft wash system is equal to that of your garden hose.

What Can Be Cleaned?

Our soft washing process can eliminate anything on your property that doesn't belong. We have a wide variety of chemicals (and appropriate training / safety procedures) to clean anything. Organic matter such as moss, mold, algae, lichen, dirt, mud, and animal nests don't stand a chance. Rust, and staining from it can also be handled with ease. Graffiti or paint spills are also a common fix for us. Our belief is that anything can be cleaned or restored to look brand new with the right recipe.

Frequently Asked Questions About House Washing

How Often Should I Wash My Home?

We recommend your home should get a thorough clean that utilizes soft washing and pressure washing every 3-4 years. Depending on the area you live in (construction, farm fields, lots of trees, or near a busy road), there are lots of external factors that contribute to elements slowly building up on the exterior surface.

Can Power Washing Really Damage My Home?

Yes! We see this all the time. Many companies offer "house pressure washing" and "siding power washing." Many of our competitors state "by reducing the pressure and increasing the water flow this allows us to effectively remove dirt, algae, moss, discoloration..." and so forth. This is easier said than done and we frequently come across punctured siding, chipped stucco, pressure lines, and missing paint. Soft washing takes away all that stress and provides a safe work environment. It also addresses the root cause of the issue so your property stays clean for much longer!

Do You Supply The Water?

Yes! We come with our own water to your home. Our buffer tank holds 500 gallons of water. Depending on the size of the job, we may need to attach our hoses to your home to top up. Don't worry - we never use more than 10-15$ of water per clean.

What Is A Common Problem You Come Across?

A common issue we see all around London, Ontario and the surrounding area when we wash houses is aluminum siding. This was a pretty popular building material back in the day and many homeowners confuse paint fading with a home being dirty. The Family Handyman explains that ideally, aluminum siding should be painted every 10 years. When a home with aluminum siding is washed, we often advise the homeowner that it should be painted afterwards. Our wash will remove any organic growth, loose paint, and prepare it for a fresh coat.
